Can anyone fix my Ubuntu computer problem?

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

Ok I seriously need a lot of help with my computer. First off, I have a Gateway 450ROG PC here is a link to the specs. http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/Gateway/450ROG/3501353sp66.shtml
Ok, it previously had Windows, but I switched to Ubuntu. I recently got High Speed internet from Comcast. I then got a Netgear Rangemax 802.11 B/G wireless router. I have it broadcasting in B/G on channel 15. I have WPA-PSK wireless security enabled. I have no problems connecting to my network from my iPod Touch, my Wii, or even my MacBook or my iMac. But when I try to connect my Ubuntu PC to my network, I find the network, and I enter my password. It tries to connect, but then it just stops and says I have been disconnected. I then go under Network Connections, and I click edit under my network, and under password it shows this crazy long scrambled line of text. I know that my computer has Intel Centrino mobile technology. I also know that is has an 802.11 B card (I think that is correct). Can someone please help me connect to my wireless network with my laptop? Thanks.
Another weird thing, I recently stayed at a Best Western, and it connected to their wireless network flawlessly
Sorry, I cannot load Windows because I lost the install CD. I already tried switching the routerti b only.

Can I use one router to connect a desktop computer, a laptop computer and two T-Mobile Hotspot at Home Phones?

I need to set up a network that will include 2 computers (Comcast broadband) and two Hotspot at Home T-Mobile phones (separate accounts). Can one router do this? What router would be recommended? I’ve never set up a wifi network before. What software would I need for security purposes?
