I am going to school online, would a data phone, handheld computer be beneficial for me to use for school work

I am needing to have something smaller and more portable than a laptop that will work off of cell phone service so I can work on homework if I am out. I need to know if and what type of devices would be the best for me to look at or if they are even worth it.

    you’re really hard pressed to find a device that can replace a laptop for mobile use, ESPICALLY if you’re using it for online classes.

    however, they do make devices that would allow you to do SOME pc like work. you may want to consider looking at Windows Mobile devices…many of these will let you open and edit office documets on them…however, i’m not sure if you’d be able to access your online class stuff over them or not, since the online courses i’ve mostly seen have an interactive element to them that wouldn’t work over most mobile devices.
