Rugged Notebooks Guide

Hi,

My ASUS laptop is almost out of space, on both C and D drive. I’m not sure why, I barely have any programs installed (pretty much everything on it came with it), no pictures, and only a handful of documents.

So what is taking up all my space? I’ve tried running CCleaner, doing a disk cleanup… But nothing is helping.

This morning while attempting to login to facebook it was very difficult for me to do so — which is rather unusual. I have login approvals activated but I wasn’t receiving any confirmation texts from facebook to login with, and then it said that there was no mobile device associated with my account. It is impossible that my account was hacked considering this is only the first time I have had any problem with login approvals and I didn’t receive any text or e-mail notifications saying that my account was logged into; so is this a bug? Then when I finally regained access to my account, I went to add my mobile number and setup login approvals again but it wouldn’t let me. I clicked on "Require me to enter a security code each time an unrecognized computer or device tries to access my account", followed all the steps, and after everything it still says "approval is not required when logging in from an unrecognized device". I tried this multiple times and to no avail; it still won’t let me require approval to access my account.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem, or does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

Hi, I’ve recently changed my security settings on my facebook, I set an option called ‘login notifications’ which tells you if you or someone else has logged on to your facebook using a different computer or device, mobile ect. I used a different browser on my laptop, and it sent me a notification, then it told me to do the security questions ect… so i pressed continue and it opened a page saying ‘Oops something went wrong’ does this mean that If i wait a while untill it fixes can still use my facebook account? what do i do???:(

I was checking out my security options on facebook today and under ‘current session’ it says currently logged in from philadelphia, pa? I live no where near pa or that city! I then had my friend, and then my girlfriend both log in to their accounts using the same connection and it says the same thing! Note, I am using a mobile device to tether to my computer, but the mobile number is a new york number and i’m not currently located anywhere near the state of pa!

Do you believe this program is good for business systems analyst or not/ it takes 3 years

Every single time I turn on my computer MSE says it’s at risk. Unless I update it which takes about half an hour it refuses to protect me. Does it have anything to do with my internet because I’m using Virgin Mobile Broadband2Go (an extremely slow modem in the form of a USB) and I have to manually connect every time I log in. So it’s not connected by the time Microsoft Security Essentials starts so basically I’m not connected to the internet when I log in. Is that the problem or what and how can I fix it?

We have a small hospital. My boss asked me to look into getting a new camera security system. 4 for the general hospital, and 1 mobile wireless one that we can move to a patient’s room in order to observe them if need be.

I went to school for computer networking, not security camera installation :P Can someone give me tips about them? Good brands? Technical specs I should keep in mind? Maybe link me to some easy all in one solutions the meets my requirements above?

I have all my programs closed (even the processes running in the background) and stopped some services. Then I have Advanced SystemCare 4’s Turbo Booster on and I’m using Game Booster. All Minecraft’s settings are at the lowest and it still lags and freezes! Why can it not play right? I have no viruses, I use AVG Internet Security 2011 and I hardly download anything.

I was searching through google images for a wallpaper and when I clicked on one, fast antivirus 2011 popped up.I never knew it was a virus so I clicked it but I didn’t run it. I deleted it from my computer. I ran malwarebytes on quick scan and nothing showed up. I’m running it on full scan now but nothing seems to be wrong with my laptop. I need this laptop for my mobile computing class this September so I was wondering if there was anything else I could do to make sure my computer isn’t infected. I have microsoft security essentials, would that interfere with the scan? and Should I download rkill and run my computer in safemode after the full scan is finished? Please answer! I need to go to a mobile computing class in 2 days to set up my computer!

We have two computers in the home that are on a wired network. I prefer wired for security and speed. My g/f however wants to start uploading/downloading data from her phone and other devices. How would I add wireless connectivity to her computer only? I have seen WLAN that can plug right into a USB port, but would that cause a conflict with her network adapter that is connected to a wired LAN? I just want to know what the best way to do this would be without buying another router, NICs, and reconnecting everything.
